This is a short footpath but can be considered a link between the back lanes of Eversley Centre and Eversley Cross and with minimal “off footpath” walking, connects Eversley Cross with Footpath 16 and all its options.

We will start at the Chequers Lane end, walking up from the Chequers, past Parfitts farm, you’ll see part of the electricity infrastructure on your left. Just past this, quite hidden from view the footpath sign (slight covered with ivy) is to the left of a large metal gate.

Turning in, you’ll encounter a narrow path through an archway of branches. Following this path down, circumnavigating fences, and a small ditch (with a wooden bridge) you’ll have fences either sides. To your left the back gardens of some of Eversley Cross, including that of the Frog & Wicket public house, to your right the fields stretching up to Up Green.

Before long another rustic bridge crosses a low stream and brings you out on the corner of Marsh Lane, where it meets Fox Lane and the busy B3272 from Eversley to Yateley.
