Footpath Number 14

Start: Coopers Hill, B3016
End: Wood Farm (A327 Fleet Road)
Distance: 0.6 Miles
Map: 2 – Central

This path is a lovely walk with great views across the fields towards Bluebell Woods. Going up Coopers Hill, you’ll pass the houses Coopers and Coopers End on you left and then at the next right-hand bend, a wide steel gate can be seen marking the start of the bridleway.  It can be quite muddy going through the gate, but the path soon becomes quite firm.

On your left are the gardens of Kiln Copse House, whilst stretching away to the rights are views across the fields towards Eversley Copse. The path drops down and goes through a small avenue of trees and bushes before widening at a couple of gates to the fields. The tree line here is worth looking at, with some very old and mysterious Oak Trees guarding the path.

Before long you’ll see a pond on your left and the path climbs to Copse Farm. The path actually takes you straight across the farmyard, which often has an array of different vehicles and buildings to take an interest in, keep an eye out for a particularly interesting weather vane on your left.

At the end of Copse Farm, there are a set of large Blue Electric Gates. The bridleway gate is to the right of these. A short distance on you’ll see Wood Farm with its distinctive Well in the front garden. The path continues to another farm gate, this time the footpath follows to the left and leads you to the A327, just at the top of Brickhouse Farm, where this footpath concludes.
